Humans in Transition

Earth In Transition is not an institution, but a living organism.

It is carried by a core team that holds the frequency, coherence and continuity of the process, and by a constellation of operational circles that take form where purpose, energy and skills meet.

Rather than a rigid hierarchy, Earth In Transition grows through responsibility, trust and creation, allowing each individual and each team to take the lead where they feel most aligned, useful and alive.

Our mode of cocreation is inspired by holacracy, a collective approach to leadership, and social permaculture - hence living systems.

A small core team safeguards the intention, the long-term direction and the integrity of Earth In Transition as a whole.

Around it, autonomous operational circles emerge for facilitation, Earth Council, bioregional action, digital infrastructure, communication, logistics, volunteering or specific projects.

Each circle has:

  • a clear purpose,

  • a high degree of autonomy,

  • and a direct link to the whole.

Leadership is not based on status or title, but on presence, attunement and competence.
Those who feel the call step forward. Those who hold a role remain accountable to the collective.

Our structure is intentionally open and evolving.

As Earth In Transition grows, new circles appear, merge, or complete their cycle.
Some people join for a season, others for years. Some bring strategic vision, others hands-on support, facilitation, art, care, or technical skills.

If you feel that your place is not yet named, it may simply be waiting to be co-created.

Earth In Transition is shaped not only by those who are already here, but by those who choose to step in.
